Mykola Tomenko: There are two Principal Inadvertances of New Power: An Attempt of Ideological Values Reconsideration and a Priority for the Right of Residence acquiring under the condition of Appointing to the Service in the Law Enforcement Agencies
In the course of the meeting with the residents of Chernivtsi city, speaking on the mistakes and inadvertences of Viktor Yanukovych on the post of the President of Ukraine and his team, Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared: "The first mistake is the attempt to revise the ideological principles of the modern Ukrainian state." He is convinced that one may declare the period of their implementation, though they would always receive the counteraction on the part of the Ukrainian elite and Ukrainian society. "Thus a number of the declaration regarding the revision of the values of the Ukrainian country is one of the principal strategic mistakes of new power", - the Deputy Chairman stated.
The second mistake, M. Tomenko has pointed the attention on, was the principle of the formation of the new high-ranking authorities, its concerns law enforcement agencies in particular. "Present dignitaries, except already known party principle, have taken as a criterion the birth and residence place of the future official. It is inadmissible that the system of Ministry of Foreign Affairs is built exclusively out of the Donetsk city residence", - he emphasized.
M. Tomenko joked: "it is necessary to stop the habit that used to take place in the Soviet Union, when the emigration to Israel was permitted and people bought the certificates on Jewish origin." "Soon this tendency would concern the stamp in the passport regarding the Donetsk city residence",- the Deputy Chairman stated.
